Spent much of the weekend tinkering away at the back end of the site and am happy to report that, for the most part, everything went pretty smoothly – if you notice anything weird, please let me know…. Oh, and Typekey is NOT working yet, so don’t bother trying to sign in using Typekey to comment. Normal comments are working fine. I think… feel free to test it though….

This blog began in November 2002, just prior to my departure to Japan at the url frangipani.info. It became my lifeline to sanity as I wrote about living in the surreal surrounds of a non-English speaking, highly structured and utterly hilarious Asian country. It opened up a world of opportunities for me, and helped me meet most of my great friends in Tokyo.
I left Japan in early 2009 for a small beachside town in tropical north Queensland, Australia, and took a short break from blogging. But writing is in my blood and I love sharing my life and photographs with friends now scattered around the world. Keeps me feeling plugged in.
