goddamn these little girls were soooooo cute! not the best photos but i was playing the subtle street photographer – aka dr. sneaky. and then i thought, what the hell. i’m just gonna ask ‘em. they grinned sweetly and stood together and smiled and then asked me a few questions in English (you know, what’s your name, etc). i showed them their pic in the digital display, they giggled, and then they waved goodbye and continued on their way.

the busy lanes across the road from ueno station are full of old style seafood markets and packed crowds and stalls selling all manner of goods from t-shirts and sunglasses to chinese style cheongsams and traditional japanese style souvenirs. well worth a stroll on your way to the park.
